Jr Youth Group
Jr. Youth group is a great time! The kids never want to leave when time is up! That statement is not even the slightest bit elaborated! The biggest question that we get about Jr. Youth group is, "When is Jr. Youth group going to be again?"
Each and every one of the children at St. Peters have been so much fun over the years that despite my growing busy schedule with very active growing children, I am just not ready to pass it on and I can't say enough, we have a great time whether we have had 2 children attend or we had 15 attend.
Every meeting is planned to have fun - so much fun they don't realize that they are learning to! We have made crafts from simple jar o lantern pumpkins to tee pees made from branches and twine. We have played games of stuck in the mud, capture the flag, chiefs and indians, created indoor and outdoor obstacle courses, had water days, indoor and outdoor scavenger hunts, game days where we brought games, game days where we made our own games.. face painting, food fun, etc. Long story short, it is an adventure and we love a big mess in the end. (Ok.. maybe the big mess part is just me - lol!)
Attached are a few pictures of the literally hundreds that I have from the last several years. Most of these children have grown some since the pictures were taken but they are some of the favorites that are fun to look back on and remind us all how the smallest moments can be the most cherished. It is our hope that the kids will look back on their childhoods one day and remember this time in their lives and they will hopefully want their children to enjoy those same moments in our same little church.
Jr. Youth Group is held every 3rd Sunday at the church from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. unless it is noted in the schedule provided below.
